This was announced by the Presidential Administration representative on ATO matters Andrii Lysenko at a briefing on Wednesday, Censor.NET reports.
In the Luhansk direction, t he enemy attempted another infiltration through Ukrainian defense line in Stanytsia Luhanska district between 1 and 2 a.m. An enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group crossed the Siverskyi Donets river near Syze village and got into action with Ukrainian military. After a 30-minute shootout the enemy retreated. In the course of the engagement, one Ukrainian soldier was killed. No other losses were incurred by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces yesterday, Lysenko noted.
At the Donetsk direction near Luhanske village, mercenaries have used small arms once. It was quiet near Horlivka, Dzerzhynske and Yasynuvata yesterday.
In the evening, terrorists were shelling front line positions of the Ukrainian army near Avdiivka and Spartak for two hours. No heavy weapons were used.
