Ukraine produces almost 20 Bohdana self-propelled guns per month, - Zelenskyy
Ukraine produces almost 20 Bohdana self-propelled artillery systems every month. This is possible thanks to the investments of partners in the Ukrainian defense sector.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his traditional evening video address, Censor.NET reports.
Thus, the head of state recalled the "Danish model" of financing the production of Ukrainian weapons.
"There is a significant history of such relations with Denmark - we call it the Danish model, which allows us to attract finance from our partners to Ukrainian defense production. In particular, we are producing artillery - almost 20 Bohdan units per month, and we have good results in other areas. There will be more results. Shells, equipment, drones - everything you need," Zelenskyy said.
The President also said that work is underway with partners on additional air defense systems for Ukraine.
"We continue to work on air defense. In particular, at the NATO summit in Washington, there was a very clear, specific agreement on air defense systems for Ukraine, as well as on the equipment of brigades. This has not yet been fully implemented. And we are counting on our Nordic partners to help us with this in contacts with other partners," the head of state added.
It should be noted that President Zelenskyy recently attended the Ukraine-Northern Europe Summit, where he held talks with the leaders of these countries.
Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received 18 Bohdana artillery systems, the production of which was financed by Denmark. It took two months to produce the systems.
It was also reported that Denmark intends to create a fund to pool investments to expand the Ukrainian military industry and accelerate production.
