Poroshenko: Sanctions imposed against more than 400 individuals and 90 entities
The president signed Decree "On the Decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of September 2, 2015 "On Imposition of Personal Special Economic and Other Restrictive Measures (Sanctions)", Censor.NET reports citing presidential press office.
Under the decision, sanctions will be imposed for one year.
Earlier, at the meeting with members of the Political and Security Committee of the EU, the president urged to prolong and expand sanctions in response to the decision of leaders of the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" to hold illegal elections on Oct. 18 and Nov. 1. According to Petro Poroshenko, these fake elections will pose a great threat to the Minsk agreements.
The president informed that these restrictive measures will be imposed against more than 400 individuals and 90 entities of Russia and other countries related to the annexation of Crimea and aggression in Donbas.
