US halts arms sales to Ukraine – "Voice" People’s Deputy, warrior Kostenko
The United States has suspended arms sales to Ukraine. All defense companies that were preparing to supply weapons are awaiting a decision.
This was stated by Roman Kostenko, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, People's Deputy of the Voice and a warrior, on the air of the project "Topic with Moseichuk," Censor.NET reports.
"It's one thing to help with money, but we buy weapons. Which, according to my information, is now even being sold, it has stopped. And even those companies that were ready to deliver the weapons here tomorrow are now waiting. Because there is no decision," Kostenko said.
"And everyone is waiting for this decision to be made so that they can supply weapons here at least for money. Let's hope they will give us weapons at least for money," he added.
He noted that Western countries, in particular Germany, France, and Britain, allocated large sums of money so that Ukraine could buy these weapons around the world.
"One story is when they sell to us and Europe helps us (to buy - ed.) And we know that Germany, France, and Britain allocated large funds so that we could buy it all over the world. Another thing is when we talk about the subjectivity of Europe - I have already suggested this and I don't know whether Europe will go for it - for example, to send troops here," Kostenko added.
