PM Yatseniuk asks to explain Russians that sanctions against Ukrainian airlines unreasonable
The ban on flights of Ukrainian airlines in Russia is ungrounded.
Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk declared at a meeting of the Cabinet, Censor.NET correspondent informs.
He reminded that Ukraine had imposed sanctions against the Russian air carriers due to their violation of the ban on flights in Crimea.
"These sanctions will be effective until Russia gets out of Crimea," the PM said.
At the same time, he called the Russian retaliatory sanctions "unfounded" and contrary to the international principle of reciprocity. In this vein, Yatseniuk has instructed "to hold either informal or formal consultations with our Eastern neighbor" to bring this stance of Kyiv to the Russian authorities' notice.
