Officials no longer have right to demand citizens to submit record extracts from two major registers, - Ukraine’s Justice Minister
Effective Oct. 1, all government agencies have no right to demand that the customers provide paper statements and record extracts with information from the State immovable property rights register and the register of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.
Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko said answering journalists' questions at the Cabinet of Ministers Thursday, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Ministry.
"The government bodies, especially local authorities, do not have the right to demand the citizens to submit hard copies of the information operated by the Ministry of Justice effective Oct. 1," he said.
"The two major registries - the immovable property rights register and the register of legal entities are meant in particular. The officials have free access to our databases and can acquire all the necessary information on their own," the Justice Minister said. The minister also explained that one should not submit statement of entrepreneurship in the package of documents to receive a service such as authorization to trade from the Regional State Administrations from now on.
"The government bodies have more than six months in order to get access to the registers," he said. He also recalled that the government decided to bring a number of heads of regional state administrations to account under disciplinary procedures last week for sabotaging the process. The situation has partially improved after that but not enough to talk about the comprehensive launch of the system. The Justice Minister said that the government agencies were still getting access to the registers.
