Ukraine plans to purchase 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas from Gazprom in near future, - Energy Minister Demchyshyn

Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn said at a briefing, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"The money that has been reserved for Gazprom provides the purchase of 2.2 billion cubic meters. I think it will take place in the nearest future," he said.

The minister said that the Naftogaz Ukrainy National Joint Stock Company has filed an order for a daily delivery of 114 million cubic meters of gas.

According to Demchyshyn, the daily gas consumption increased to 65 million cubic meters as of today.

Earlier, Gazprom has declared the beginning of deliveries of natural gas to Ukraine.
