Assad's visit to Russia at odds with Moscow's statements, - The White House
The visit of Syrian President Bashar Assad on Tuesday to Moscow, where he held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, is not conducive to achieving a political settlement of the conflict in Syria.
As reported by Censor.NET citing Voice of America, this was announced by White House spokesman Eric Schultz.
"We view the red carpet welcome for Assad, who has used chemical weapons against his own people, at odds with the stated goal by the Russians for a political transition in Syria," Schultz remarked.
