Ukraine to lose $600 million next year over Russia’s food embargo, - PM Yatseniuk
Ukraine will lose $600 million in 2016 due to the food embargo imposed by Russia.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk said at today's Cabinet meeting, Censor.NET informs citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"Our exports losses will amount to about $600 million in 2016," Yatseniuk said.
Earlier, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexei Ulyukayev said that Russia would impose food embargo against Ukraine from Jan 1.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called the threats of embargo imposition a trade war against Ukraine. At the same time, the Ministry of Economic Development of Ukraine believes that the Russian embargo on Ukrainian food will have greater impact on the Russians themselves.
