The prosecutor's office initiate proceedings against Chinese cable laying vessel operating in Crimea
The prosecutor's office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea has opened a criminal case into the Chinese company which lays submarine lines from the territory of the Russian Federation to the occupied peninsula.

According to the First Deputy Prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Nazar Kholodnytskyi, criminal proceedings have been opened under the Part 2 of the Article 332-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the order of entry into the temporarily occupied territory) in connection with the violation of sanctions, in particular, entry into Kamysh-Burun port by cable laying vessel JIAN JI 3001 under the flag of China (company owner and operator is Shanghai Foundation Engineering Group Co, Ltd). There is a crew and technical staff of 60 people - citizens of China, on board a cable laying vessel.
The article provides for punishment of up to 5-years imprisonment and confiscation of the vessel. The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol temporarily located in Odesa.
