Putin recognized presence of Russian troops in Donbas for the first time today, - Poroshenko
Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin for the first time confirmed the presence of Russian troops in the Donbas.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said during a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Censor.NET informs citing presidential Twitter.
"I've informed Mr. Stoltenberg about the number of Russian occupation forces in the east of Ukraine. Today, the Russian president for the first time publicly confirmed the presence of Russian troops in the occupied east," he said.
As previously reported, Putin said today at the annual press conference: "We never said there were no people there who handled certain issues of the military sector. But this does not mean that there are Russian regular troops there. Feel the difference."
