Minister Poltorak: Ukraine embarks on stable long-term strategic partnership with US

As previously reported, a meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee on Military Cooperation and Planning with the participation of the American side and the Ministry of Defense took place yesterday.

Geoffrey Pyatt, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, remarked new conditions for cooperation had been formed (in terms of long-term partnership) and stressed the importance of common vision regarding the bilateral U.S.-Ukraine defense cooperation.
The defense minister noted that the state and the MoD top officials considered the U.S.-Ukraine defense cooperation as a key element in the increase of the defensive capacity of Ukraine under the current situation in the east of the country.
"We have a detailed plan of army reforms," Stepan Poltorak underlined, "We are going to implement the best practices of the Allied nations, considering the peculiarities of our country."
