Energy blockade of Crimea did loss to Russia worth of 900 million rubles

The emergency situation in occupied Crimea, which was caused by power shortage, has inflicted damage to industrial enterprises of the peninsula worth of 900 million rubles.

"The losses inflicted to all enterprises of the industrial sector amount to 900 million rubles (over $12 million)," "deputy prime minister" of the occupation "government" of Crimea Yevgenia Bavykina said Dec. 7 during the meeting of the emergency response headquarters.

According to Bavykina, the defense-industrial sector of Crimea has suffered damages worth of 180 million rubles.

It should be noted that the emergency situation was declared in Crimea Nov. 22, 2015. The industrial enterprises of Crimea suspended work during the blackout and resumed working nights after a relative improvement of the situation. They are currently idle again preliminary planning to resume work next week.
