Avakov insists on checking conditions of tender for purchase of transformers for Ukrenerho: “There are signs of protectionism in favor of Grigorishyn”

It is necessary to check the changes in the terms of the tender for the purchase of 22 transformers by the National Energy Company Ukrenerho.

Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said at a meeting of the Cabinet, Censor.NET informs citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"I do not know whether everything here is true or there is some exaggeration, but it seems that it may be a crime," Avakov said.

He noted the need to respond to the statements in the media about the decisions taken in late 2015.

The minister described the taken decisions as protectionist practices in favor of ZTR (Zaporizhia).

"I appeal to my colleague Volodymyr Demchyshyn to ensure our response to the statements in the media about decisions taken at the end of last year - the protectionist actions in favor of ZTR, when the conditions have been changed by two billion hryvnia in favor of Grigorishyn," Avakov said.

It should be reminded that the Antimonopoly Committee has suspended the tender for the purchase of transformers by the National Energy Company Ukrenerho in connection with the complaint filed by ZTR plant - the major manufacturer of transformers.
