Kyiv authorities recommend introduction of mask regime due to flu and cold
As reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine, this was announced by adviser of Kyiv mayor Mykhailo Radutskyi at a press conference on Thursday. The decision to introduce mask regime was made at the administration meeting on Thursday morning.
The mask regime, in particular, will be introduced in administrative services centers, communal utilities centers, and other organizations. Heads of the relevant institutions will be responsible for schedule compliance of mask change.
"Each ply of a mask guarantees one hour of protection. Usually we are using four-ply masks," he said.
According to the health department of the city administration, 98 people were hospitalized in Kyiv due to cold and flu on Jan.20. The total number of patients treated from the diseases in the capital is 485 people, 178 of them were diagnosed with influenza.
