People’s deputies should demonstrate their support of the pro-European vector of Ukraine’s development with their deeds.
President Petro Poroshenko informed during a meeting of Regional development committee that he held a phone conversation with IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, during which they discussed subsequent cooperation steps. This is reported by Censor.NET citing the president's press service."I would like to say to our enemies and opponents that the program of our cooperation with the IMF will not be terminated. On the contrary, we have discussed the things to be adopted shortly," Petro Poroshenko said.
According to president, in the nearest future Ukraine should adopt a series of visa-free laws and fulfill the provisions of the Memorandum of cooperation with the IMF.
"I advise the Government and the Parliament to focus on the establishment of efficient corporate administration of the biggest state enterprises of Ukraine, particularly the NJSC Naftohaz Ukrainy. In the course of the first plenary week I ask to approve the legislation on privatization and the visa-free regime," the head of state stressed. He is hopeful that the government submits all the draft laws to him by the end of the week and the parliament considers them immediately.
According to Petro Poroshenko, these will be amendments to the law on appointment of the anti-corruption prosecutor, issues of the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption, and the issue of special confiscation.
The Head of State urged MPs to support the European choice of Ukraine not only with words, but also with deeds.
