Los Angeles hosted 88th Academy Awards: "Spotlight" wins best picture, Leonardo DiCaprio and Brie Larson named best actors

The biggest number of cherished statuettes went to "Mad Max: Fury Road." However, the picture won in the categories far from being major: best costume design, best production design, best make-up and hair, best editing, best sound editing, best sound mixing.
The winner for best visual effects is "Ex Machina."
Josh Singer and Tom McCarthy received Oscar for best original screenplay for "Spotlight," while best adapted screenplay was won by Charles Randolph and Adam McKay's "The Big Short."
Alicia Vikander ("The Danish Girl") was awarded best actress in a supporting role, while Mark Rylance won best supporting actor ("Bridge of Spies").
The best animated short film is "Bear Story," while "Inside Out" received a statuette for best animated feature film.
Documentary feature "Amy" won in the relevant category, triumphing over Ukrainian nominee "Winter on Fire" directed by Yevhen Afinieievskyi. The best live action short film is "Stutterer."
The best foreign language film is Hungarian director László Nemes' "Son of Saul." Ennio Morricone won best composer ("The Hateful Eight"), and "Writing's on the Wall" from "Spectre" was named the best song.
Best director award went to Alejandro Iñárritu ("The Revenant").
Leonardo DiCaprio got Oscar for his hunter role in "The Revenant".
Brie Larson ("Room") was named lead actress.
Finally, Tom McCarthy's "Spotlight" won best picture of 2015.
