Ukrainian teenager arrested in Russian Rostov-on-Don for alleged involvement in bomb plot
Chief of the Russian Interior Ministry's Center to Combat Extremism in the Rostov region Artur Metsger announced on Thursday, Censor.NET reports citing RIA Novosti.
According to the official, the Ukrainian teenager allegedly planned a terrorist attack with the use of a homemade bomb in Rostov-on-Don.
Representatives of the Center to Combat Extremism claim that the young man intended to activate the device he had made. The Russian law enforcers claim that the detained Ukrainian teenager allegedly "searched for potential targets and spied out the anti-terrorist measures taken there" in order to commit a terrorist attack.
"The criminal proceedings into the minor's actions were initiated under the Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. He was placed into a pre-trial detention facility," Metsger said.
