Russian terrorists fired at Ukrainian troop’s positions 27 times, focused attacks on Avdiivka, - Staff
Pro-Russian militants assaulted Ukrainian forces’ positions in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in the Donbas 27 times on Monday, March 28.
Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the ATO Staff press center."The number of armed attacks on the Ukrainian soldiers by the pro-Russian militants increased over the day.... The Ukrainian troops' positions near Avdiivka continue undergoing the greatest number of enemy attacks," the statement reads.
It is noted that the militants provided accurate fire with 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms upon positions near Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy snipers fiercely attacked Ukrainian servicemen deployed near the industrial area of the city.
The enemy also shelled the ATO force's positions near Zaitseve with mortars. The enemy employed various weapons against the Ukrainian troops near Butivka mine, Luhanske, Maiorsk, Troitske, Novhorodske, and Nevelske.
"Despite of the attacks, the situation in the ATO zone is controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the Staff stressed.
