Tymoshenko on Batkivshchyna's return to coalition: "We set a condition: certain bills should be passed"
Batkivshchyna is ready to join the coalition only after the bills offered by this political force are adopted.
As reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine, this was announced by Yuliia Tymoshenko, Batkivshchyna leader and MP.
"We set a condition: certain our bills should be passes first. These bills have been introduced to the Verkhovna Rada. The majority of them have been considered by the relevant committees. And if there is a good will to change the strategy of socio-economic development, we need to vote. But they tell us: join the coalition first, and then we'll see what we'll do," she said.
The politician stressed: "We are ready to join the coalition, if the attitude of the government and the parliament is radically changed towards people, the middle class, small and medium-sized businesses, pensioners, Chernobyl cleanup workers, disabled, towards the entire country."
"If they don't change anything and just want to swap their seats and proceed as they did before - provoke inflation and fall of the hryvnia exchange rate, freeze pensions and wages, increase tariffs, destroy small and medium-sized businesses... - we are not ready for this kind of cooperation," she stated.
