MP Iryna Lutsenko believes her husband to be deserving candidate for prosecutor general’s post

Verkhovna Rada Deputy Iryna Lutsenko considers her husband MP Yurii Lutsenko to be a suitable candidate for the post of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

Wife of the politician, Poroshenko Bloc faction MP Iryna Lutsenko said, Censor.NETcorrespondent reports.

According to her, Yurii Lutsenko contributed much in reform of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that he started when he headed the body. He was also the one who introduced the law on the Prosecutor General's Office reform. "He was the path-breaker for these processes and today he has showed resolute desire to change the system," she said.

"And, disengaging myself from the fact that I am his wife, but just reviewing his candidacy - the indisputable proof that he is a deserving candidate is the letter of Prosecutor General Shokin's deputies to the president recommending not to appoint a person outside the system, who is not its integral part," Iryna Lutsenko said.
