Over past four weeks, Ukraine seen record death toll at front line, - MP Iryna Herashchenko
She said this at a round table in Kyiv, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.
"We are having a tragic period of this year - after the May holidays, the volume of shelling and the number of cease-fire violations in the east [of Ukraine] have increased significantly," Herashchenko said.
"We have seen a record number of killed and wounded at the front line in the past four weeks, including civilians. Obviously, the situation with the security in the Donbas, its dramatic deterioration is a key moment that does not allow speaking about the possibility of solving the issues in humanitarian and economic spheres, ... the situation with the security in the east is a priority," Herashchenko added.
As reported, NSDC says that in the past two years, Russian-terrorist groups have killed 10,000 and injured more than 20,000 Ukrainians. Some 1.8 million people have been forced to leave their homes.
