US, Canada among top contributors of aid for Ukraine, - Defense Ministry
Spokesperson to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oksana Havryliuk said at a briefing today, Censor.NET reports.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue receiving logistical and humanitarian assistance from the partner countries. In particular, the partners provided the Armed Forces of Ukraine with humanitarian aid worth of more than $56 million," she said.
According to the Defense Ministry, foreign partners provided the following aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine:
The U.S.: munitions, medical and technical equipment worth of about $111 million. The U.S. additionally provided munitions and equipment for Ukraine's Air Force worth of about $8 million.
Canada delivered humanitarian aid including ballistic face shields, night vision goggles, body armor, helmets, sleeping bags and a large number of cold-weather clothing for the Ukrainian army worth of more than $23.5 million.
Republic of Poland: sleeping gear, long-shelf-life rye bread, individual meal packs, and clothing worth of almost $6.5 million.
Australia: cold-weather clothing worth of more than $4.5 million.
UK also provided assistance worth of $4.5 million.
China: equipment for an eye-care clinic worth of $3.4 million.
Slovak Republic: a wide range of medical equipment and other goods worth of more than $1 million.
Turkey: clothing and equipment worth of more than $1 million.
The Kingdom of Norway: individual meal packs worth of about $630,000.
France: body armor and medical supplies worth of about $600,000.
The Netherlands: power generators and cold-weather clothing worth of about $500,000.
