Ukraine to become member of European Organization for Nuclear Research

After receiving an associate membership in the organization, Ukraine will pay a smaller fee and will be able to participate in all forms of scientific cooperation.

Having paid the official membership fee in October 2016, Ukraine will become an associated member of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science.

Ukraine will become an associated member, which will allow to pay a smaller fee. However, the country will have a chance to participate in all forms of scientific cooperation available for full-fledged members of the organization.

CERN gives an opportunity for training and education for young scientists, while Ukrainian scientific and research organizations and enterprises will be able to participate in tenders.

Ukraine signed an agreement on associated membership on Oct. 3, 2013. It has already been ratified, but the notification process hasn't been completed yet.
