"This is common victory of Ukrainian diplomacy, people’s deputies, and international pro-Ukrainian coalition,” - Poroshenko commented on PACE resolution
Petro Poroshenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
The head of state wrote: "I welcome PACE's approval of the resolution on the political consequences of the Russian aggression in Ukraine and condemning the human rights violations in the occupied territories.
"The PACE recognized Russia as the aggressor-state for the first time, urged it to withdraw troops and stop military support to the militants and clearly confirmed its unconditional support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, including Crimea.
"This is a common victory of Ukrainian diplomacy, members of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and the international pro-Ukrainian coalition.
"I sincerely thank PACE rapporteurs Kristyna Zelienkova (Czech Republic) and Marieluise Beck (Germany) for their support to Ukraine on the path of reform, condemnation of Russian aggression and repression against Ukrainian citizens in the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea and Donbas.
"I support PACE's calls to unite Europe and develop a common European strategy to counter Russia's efforts aimed at geopolitical destabilization.
"I consider it premature to raise the question of restoration of powers of the Russian delegation to PACE before complete cessation of Russian aggression and gross violation of fundamental rules of the international law and the Council of Europe, as well as full restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine," the president wrote.
