Lutsenko, ICC deem Maidan crimes to be factors leading to Russia's war against Ukraine
Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"Today, a three-hour meeting with representatives of the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court took place at the PGO. We arrived at a consensus that the Maidan crimes were part of a series of crimes that led to Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine and support for separatists. The ICC delegation was provided with information about Russia's political and military leaders whose actions should be examined for crimes against humanity and war crimes in the territory of our state," he said.
"We have agreed to strengthen cooperation not only in exchanging information but also in granting ICC experts access to the materials of criminal proceedings into crimes against peaceful protests during the Revolution of Dignity as well as military aggression of the Russian Federation in the east of Ukraine and Crimea," Lutsenko added.
