Ukraine’s PM and French Foreign Minister discuss OSCE armed police mission deployment in Donbas

At the beginning of the meeting, the prime minister thanked France for its assistance to Ukraine in countering Russian aggression.
"The government is seeking the comprehensive development of mutually beneficial relations with France," Volodymyr Hroisman said.
Ukrainian prime minister informed Jean-Marc Ayrault on the situation in the Donbas. He stressed that he saw no alternative to the Minsk arrangements while Ukraine strictly observed its commitments under this deal.
In this context, the prime minister stressed that the sanctions against the Russian Federation should be maintained until it fully complied with its obligations under the Minsk agreements.
Speaking of the temporary occupation of Ukrainian territory by Russia, Hroisman said that the annexation of Crimea came amid increased rate of peninsula's militarization and completely changed the security situation in the region.
"Russia is actually turning Crimea into a huge military base," he said.
"In this context, Ukraine highly appreciates the consistent position of France regarding the non-recognition of the criminal annexation of Crimea and elections to the Russian State Duma," the prime minister emphasized.
The head of the Ukrainian government also expressed gratitude for the initiative to create a road map on the implementation of the Minsk agreements and proposals submitted to it, as it had been agreed during the meeting in the Normandy format in Berlin.
The sides also discussed the deployment of the OSCE armed police mission and mine clearance in the Donbas.
The interlocutors discussed visa waiver for Ukraine. Hroisman said that Ukraine had fulfilled all the requirements for the visa-free travel introduction.
The prime minister also stressed the need to complete the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement ratification.
He informed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Marc Ayrault on the reforms initiated by the government of Ukraine and their results.
