MP Friz: Poroshenko banned special operations in Crimea, subversive activity out of question
Verkhovna Rada deputy Iryna Friz says President Petro Poroshenko has forbidden special operations in Crimea.
As reported by Censor.NET, she announced it on air of 112 Ukraine TV station.
"The return of Crimea lies exclusively within the diplomatic and peaceful plane, which the president declared some time ago. Given this fact, he banned any special operations in the territory of annexed Crimea. It can threaten the lives of soldiers and won't have any positive effect," Friz said.
She is certain that the FSB's statement about the detention of Ukrainian saboteurs in Crimea is a "fake and provocation."
Earlier, Russia's Federal Security Service announced that members of a subversive terrorist group of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry had been apprehended in Sevastopol on Nov. 9.
Later, it turned out that at least two of them were experts of Nomos think tank that had operated in Sevastopol until early 2014.
