EU ambassadors may agree on visa suspension mechanism Dec. 7, - RFE/RL journalist
European Union ambassadors are likely to agree at a meeting next week on a visa suspension mechanism on which visa-free travel for citizens of Ukraine and Georgia is contingent.
This was announced by RFE/RL correspondent Rikard Jozwiak in Brussels, Censor.NET reports."I think there can be a deal on suspension mechanism next week. EU ambassadors will meet on Dec. 7 and a new trialogue can follow the same day," the journalist said.
"I understand that France feels pressure to agree on a deal on suspension mechanism before the EU Council session on Dec. 15-16," Jozwiak added.
Earlier, the journalist said the European Parliament and the EU Council had failed to agree on a visa suspension mechanism during preliminary consultations in Brussels on Nov. 29.
