Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office to probe use of force by MP Pashynskyi, - PGO

The case into brawl and shootout with participation of the Ukrainian lawmaker will be investigated by the regional prosecutor's office.

As reported by Censor.NET, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General ' s Office of Ukraine Larysa Sarhan wrote on Facebook.

"Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office will be probing a criminal case into the incident involving MP Serhii Pashynskyi," she wrote.

"The prosecuting investigators will reinterview all the participants and witnesses of the incident, conduct an investigative experiment and all the necessary expert assessments," Sarhan wrote.

As reported, Member of the Ukrainian Parliament Serhii Pashynskyi said he was attacked by an unidentified person on a road in the Kyiv region on Dec. 31. The lawmaker got hit on the head with a bottle as a result of the conflict. The MP made a warning shot in the air and then employed a handgun against the attacker wounding him in the leg.

However, the alleged attacker said Pashynskyi made no warning shots before using force as he claimed but shot him in the leg right away.
