No electricity and water in Avdiivka, but houses are heated, - State Emergency Service
There is no power and water-supply, but the apartments are being heated in the frontline town of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region,
Avdiivka is blacked out because ''Makiivska-1'' power line was damaged after the military attacks on Feb. 18, Censor.NET reports citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.At the moment, Avdiivka Сoke plant provides the apartments with heating. The temperature in the apartments is 20-25 °C. Though, water supply is suspended.
The objects of social infrastructure without own backup power systems are to be provided with electricity from 12 generators by the State Emergency Service.
The fighting in the vicinity of Avdiivka has been underway since late Saturday, Jan. 28. Three days into fighting, Ukrainian soldiers have managed to take enemy positions and improved their tactical set-up in the area. Unfortunately, casualties were reported among the military.
Militants' strikes left the government-controlled town of Avdiivka without electricity, water and heat. A state of emergency has been introduced in Avdiivka on Jan. 30.
