Over hundred masterpieces of world famous Ukrainian artist Ivan Marchuk stolen, - adviser to interior minister

The law enforcers investigate disappearance of 101 masterworks of world famous Ukrainian artist Ivan Marchuk.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the statement by adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Mykhailo Apostol, the National Police initiated criminal proceedings into the paintings' disappearance.

"He (Ivan Marchuk - Ed.) gave his agent his best paintings for the next exhibition in Spain last summer as he had done previously. The agent promised to shift the Europeans' paradigm in art. Unfortunately, the promised exhibition of the outstanding artist was not held in September or any time later," Apostol wrote.
