Russian-backed militants attacked Ukrainian troops 42 times today, used 122 mm guns, mortars, tanks, - Staff

"The Russian-terrorist forces shelled strongpoints on the outskirts of Pavlopil in Mariupol direction with 122 mm artillery. The invaders fired upon fortified positions near Shyrokyne, Vodiane, and Chermalyk with small arms, large-caliber machine guns, and grenade launchers. Sniper attacks were recorded in Novotroitske.
"Large-caliber machine guns, grenade launchers, and 82 mm mortars were employed against strong points near Opytne, Avdiivka, Verkhniotoretske, Zaitseve, Luhanske, Novhorodske and Svitlodarsk in Donetsk direction. Besides, the defenders of Avdiivka and Butivka mine came under strikes with tanks.
"In Luhansk direction, the Russian invaders fired upon the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Krymske and Popasna with grenade launchers of various systems, and subsequently employed 82 and 120 mm mortars against them. Positions near Novooleksandrivka were attacked with small arms and automatic grenade launchers," the situation report reads.
