Donbas militants demand that Ukraine transfers killers, rapers, and those who brutalized perished soldiers, - MP Iryna Herashchenko

Pro-Russian terrorists demand that Ukraine transfers about 100 criminals under the exchange plan who were sentenced for murders, rapes, looting and terrorist attacks.

This was announced by deputy Rada speaker Iryna Herashchenko on a briefing, Censor.NET reports citing LIGA.net.

"They demand that Ukraine transfers 62 persons who committed grave crimes. Such as murders, rapes, looting, brutalizing our perished people," she said.

Herashchenko added the terrorist demand 30 more people to be released.

"They have nothing to do with the ATO (anti-terrorist operation - ed.), but they have to do with the terrorist attack in Odesa and the terrorist attack in Kharkiv. They are demanded to be released within the prisoners release effort," she said.

Herashchenko said that the process of prisoners release has been stalled for several months. The terrorists could not decide which international organization will check the refusal of several hundreds of people to return to occupied territories under the exchange program. The terrorists rejected the offer to involve the Red Cross and the U.N. human rights mission.

"In Minsk, we managed to agree that the mission will be fully controlled by the OSCE joined by the Ukraine ombudsman's office. We're holding a technical meeting today on how the refusals will be collected," Herashcheko said.
