Ukraine imposes new anti-dumping duties on Russia imports, - Ministry of Economic Development

Ukraine's interdepartmental commission for international trade has decided to introduce anti-dumping measures against Russian imports and launch a probe into the import of certain Russian products.

"An anti-dumping duty has been introduced for five years against Russian exporters: a 6.54 percent rate on Volzhsky Abrasive Plant (OJSC VAZ), which is located in the town of Volzhsky, Volgograd region; and 33.83 percent on other exporters from Russia," the message says.

The commission has decided to review anti-dumping measures on the import of ammonium nitrate from Russia to Ukraine.

As reported, the current anti-dumping measures against the import of ammonium nitrate from Russia to Ukraine were introduced in May 2008. In July 2014, the measures were reviewed and extended for five years (until July 2019).

Furthermore, the commission has decided to launch an investigation into shipments of some kinds of urea-formaldehyde products from Russia to Ukraine. The probe will look into facts and evidence of dumping, possible damage and causation between them. Based on the future findings of the probe, the expediency of anti-dumping measures may be reviewed.
