21 attacks in Donbas yesterday, involving Grad-P, mortars, AA guns and IFVs, - ATO HQ

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area remains controlled by the Ukrainian military.

Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the ATO HQ press center.

"Over the past day, Russian occupation troops committed 21 attacks against Ukrainian defenders," the message reads.

The coastal area of the front was the epicenter of fighting. The enemy used a 122 mm Grad-P portable rocket launcher and IFVs against strong points outside Shyrokyne. Attacks on Marinka involved IFVs, anti-aircraft guns, various types of grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Defenders of Krasnohorivka were hit by anti-tank grenade launchers, positions around Vodiane came under IFV and heavy machine gun fire. Small arms were fired at marines near Hnutove. Sniper activity was registered in the vicinity of Marinka.

In the Donetsk sector, militants used 82 mm mortars, anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns against positions near Avdiivka and Verkhniotoretske. Strong points around Troitske and Pisky were caught in anti-tank grenade launcher and small arms fire.

In the Luhansk sector, the enemy used small arms to provoke defenders of Novooleksandrivka.

"The Ukrainian military strictly observed the truce and did not return fire," the HQ notes.

As previously reported, on April 23, militants committed 34 attacks on Ukrainian positions.
