45 people detained in Victory Day events across Ukraine, - Interior Ministry
The police have detained 45 people during May 9 commemorative events in Ukraine.
First Deputy Interior Minister Serhii Yarovyi said at today's briefing, Censor.NET reports referring to 112 Ukraine."As of 1 p.m., 25 people had been detained in Kyiv and 45 altogether across Ukraine. Two policemen were injured: one in Kyiv, one in Zaporizhia. The police are taking steps to detain people who used smoke flares and caused damage to a police officer and a journalist," Yarovyi said.
According to him, no wounded have been reported.
A total of 30,000 police officers ensure public order in Ukraine, while some 50,000 people took part in May 9 commemorative events across the country.
