Trump will soon sign bill on extended sanctions against Russia, - VP Pence

U.S. President Donald Trump will soon sign the bill on new sanctions against Russia. For them to be lifted, Moscow will have to fulfill its obligations.

This was announced by U.S. VP Mike Pence, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax.

President Trump will soon sign the bill on sanctions against Russia, Pence is quoted as saying. The U.S. wants them lifted, but it's possible only after Russia fulfills its obligations. However, the most recent steps by Russia prove the opposite, Pence told journalists on Tuesday in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Earlier, on July 29, Russian Foreign Ministry demanded that the number of employees in U.S. Embassy in Moscow and Consulates General in St.Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, and Vladivostok were decreased to 455 persons by Sept. 1. From Aug. 1, the U.S. Embassy in Moscow is no longer allowed to use some premises in the capital city that it has been using.

The State Department of the United States did not say how many diplomats will have to leave Russia, but The Washington Post reported of several hundred people.

The Moscow's decision followed the Senate's voting on new sanctions against Russia, Iran, and North Korea, that passed the Senate overwhelmingly on July 27.
