Ukraine hopes to receive not just defensive weapons from US, - Poroshenko

The president said during the 14th Yalta European Strategy (YES), which is taking place in Kyiv Sept. 14-16, Censor.NET reports citing Kyiv Post.

"I hope that this will not just be a defense arsenal, although it will significantly strengthen our defense capacity.

"We do not want and we hate the idea of attacking the enemy. We just want to confirm the fact that the aggressor will pay a much higher price if it violates Minsk agreements and attack my troops - it's absolutely fair.

"But we want peace and I'm the president of peace," Poroshenko said at the 14th annual meeting of YES titled "Is the world new today? And what does this mean for Ukraine?".
