NATO to increase its Black Sea group up to 4,000 people to retaliate Russia in own way

NATO will strengthen its presence in Romania in response to Russia's increase of its grouping in the Black Sea.

This was announed by NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg during the Alliance Parliamentary Assembly in Bucharest, Censor.NET reports citing 5 Channel.

The planned increase is up to 4,000 military on NATO's eastern border.

Stoltenberg said the multinational brigade will comprise military of 10 member countries and will be headed by Romanian military.

The Alliance also said it's planning to increase the number of visits of NATO military ships to ports of Romania and Bulgaria. The defense of airspace above these countries is also planned to be enhanced. It is currently guarded by planes from Canada and Italy.

Stoltenberg said NATO is responding to Russia's acts in its own way, but not just mirroring them. NATO is acting wisely and deliberately, and cares to protect the security of its allies. The major goal of the Alliance it to be strong and act as a whole and be able to clearly explain its position to the enemy. The idea of success, Stoltenberg said, is not to provoke a conflict, but to prevent it.
