Eduard Shalashov is a young man from the 31st Paratrooper Brigade, one of those who participated in the annexation of the Crimea and then moved on to the Donbas.

Shalashov is pictured on the right.
His Vkontakte page (Russian copycat of Facebook) show many pictures with Ukrainian scenery.
Native of Nizhny Novgorod, Shalashov arrived in the Crimea in March. Together with his fellow soldiers they blocked military units being dressed in Ukrainian uniform.

After the falsified Crimean referendum, this paratrooper stopped disguising - photographs taken in April in Simferopol show him wearing a uniform with Russian insignia.

As part of his brigade of military unit 73612, he provided military support to the separatists, Cossacks and Crimeans who actively participated in joining the peninsula to Russia.
