The members of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces study the tactics of carrying out combat operations in various conditions; improve combat vehicle operation skills; gain knowledge of the peculiarities in functioning of various military units.
As reported by Censor.NET citing the Defense Ministry’s press service, the British instructors train Ukrainian soldiers under Orbital military training program.
Commander of the foreign instructors’ team says the Ukrainian troops receive training in various levels of military occupational specialties. The training is primarily focused on sergeants, platoon commanders and includes specialized courses in certain fields. He said their goal is to make the Ukrainian military trained well enough for carrying out military operations in modern combat environment that has undergone significant changes and bring Ukrainian detachments to the NATO standards.
According to him, the soldiers are receptive to the instructors and eagerly learn from their experience and skills. He said the instructors also have much to learn from the Ukrainian military who took part in the anti-terrorist operation and received combat experience in Ukraine’s east.
