Russian Invaders From 67th Air Defense Missile Brigade Deployed in Donbas. PHOTOS
This is stated by investigative blogger Irakli Komakhidze on Informnapalm.
"Based on the available information and materials, anti-aircraft gunners of the 67th Brigade were redeployed to the Rostov region to the Ukrainian border in August 2014, and had been moved to the Donbas," the blogger writes.
To date, the unit is deployed in Kuibyshev district of the Rostov region of Russia. The unit has air defense systems Buk-M1 in arsenal. The presumed size is up to a battery.
Note the photo with a sign of the Ukrainian military installation 0194 that Russian gunners are posing with. This is the number of the Ukrainian air defense unit located in the Luhansk region, where anti-aircraft missile battalion SAM Buk varied out duty since 2008. In June 2014 it was captured by the separatists.
It can be assumed that the soldiers of the 67th brigade were sent to the captured Ukrainian air defense installation for accounting and export of the captured equipment and weapons.
The information on casualties among the soldiers of the 67th air defense missile brigade in Ukraine was published by volunteer activist, founder of "Cargo-200 from Ukraine to Russia" Elena Vasilyeva (http://www.evasiljeva.ru/2014/10/blog-post_24.html).
