The serviceman died suddenly in combat position because of a heart attack. He passed away on his 24th birthday.
It is noted that Dmytro was born in the village of Verbka, Pavlograd district of Dnepropetrovsk region. Before joining the army he studied as electric welder. When he turned 19 he went to protect Ukraine. The contract with the 93rd brigade was signed in October 2014.
Dmytro fought almost from the beginning of the war. On December 9, 2015, the fighter was contused: then the BMP-2 was hit by an anti-tank mine, two soldiers were killed, and six were injured. Probably, it was this injury that caused Dmytro's death, the report says.
The one-year-old daughter Alena has remained an orphan, the press service added.
