Censor.NET reports citing Ukraine’s First Deputy Interior Minister Serhii Yarovyi

He has said rallies on Kulykove Pole in Odesa marking the fifth anniversary of tragic events there had been peaceful as of 10:30 a.m. Kyiv time on May 2.

"As you can see, everything is calm at the moment. There have been no bomb threats. We are aware of all the challenges, so we have organized the work of the Odesa police, National Guard and Police Patrol," he said.

Yarovyi said 200 people were taking part in the rallies, adding the venue had been cordoned off and examined by bomb experts as of 07:00 a.m.Kyiv time on May 2.

"We have deployed 2,500 law-enforcement officers, fearing some forces would attempt to destabilize the situation. We took into account all possible scenarios and are ready," he added.

Yarovyi said mobile groups, including special units, have also been deployed, along with checkpoints and additional posts checking vehicles entering the city.
