Interior Ministry shared details of Maidan activists’ massacre committed by the militants: ex-minister Zakharchenko directed all these activities. PHOTOS
Interior Minister Arsen Avakov unveiled the investigation results at a joint briefing with the Prosecutor General Vitalii Yarema, Censor.NET reports citing Novyi Rehion.
"The investigation has found the arrangement of delivery and deployment in downtown Kyiv and on Maidan Nezalezhnosti of the so-called 'titushky,' the militants who were beating the mass protests participants on Feb. 18, 2014," the minister said.
The image above shows relations between a middle-level 'management' of 'titushkas' and themselves; the numbers indicate quantities of people from various cities of central Ukraine involved in the anti-Maidan protests for money.
"We have reliable evidence consisting of photo, video, and audio proofs of certain persons' involvement in the organization of military confrontation and beating of Maidan activists during protests at Mariinskyi Park as well as on Lypska, Hrushevskoho, Volodymyrska Streets and Sophiiska Square," he reported.
The investigation established that the militants were provided firearms from the Interior Ministry warehouses to slaughter the Maidan activists. A great number of weapons, ammunition, explosives, and other munitions (pictured above and below) that had been used against Maidan activists were seized from the suspects' apartments during searches conducted within the investigative activities.
13 active participants of the events in question, hired as 'titushkas', were detained Jan. 31.They all confessed of participation in the beating of activists and named those who conducted accurate fire at Maidan activists on Feb. 18 in Mariinskyi Park and on Sophiiska Square. Vitalii Zakharchenko, who was Interior Ministry head at the time, personally controlled the operation.
Avakov informed that all the organizers of the crimes (Zakharchenko and his subordinates, pictured above) are established and put on the wanted list. The investigation has also established the middle management. The investigation activities against them are currently in progress.
