On April 2, 2023, occupation troops of the Russian Federation shelled the city of Kostiantynivka and the city of Toretsk in Donetsk region. According to preliminary information, the fire was fired from the Uragan and Grad rocket systems, as well as S-300 missiles and artillery.

As noted, six civilians - three women and three men - were killed in Kostiantynivka as a result of shelling. Another eight citizens were injured of varying degrees of severity. Destroyed apartment buildings, private households, farm buildings and cars.
"At night in Toretsk, shells of the occupiers hit a multi-story building and damaged communications, as a result of which one person was injured and three more were poisoned by carbon monoxide," the report says.
Currently, law enforcement officers and rescuers are working on the scene. All victims were taken to hospitals.
Prosecutors continue to take all appropriate and possible measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.
Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office, pre-trial investigations were started in criminal proceedings on the facts of violations of the laws and customs of war (parts 1, 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
