In Karelia, a convict who returned from war, together with a friend, killed 6 people and set fire to two houses. PHOTOS
Ihor Sofonov, 37, and his friend were serving time for murder, robbery, rape and drugs. His friend was released from prison, and Sofonov was recruited and pardoned to go to war in Ukraine as part of Wagner PMC. After returning from war, Sofonov and his friend murdered five men and one woman, and burned down their houses to hide the crime.
Censor.NET editor-in-chief Yurii Butusov wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
"Ihor miraculously survived, returned home and continued to kill Russians. Together with his accomplice, Sofonov first broke into one house and killed everyone living there. And then they repeated the same in a neighbour's house. In total, they killed 5 men and one woman. The houses were burnt down to hide the traces of the crime.
In court, Sofonov did his best to emphasise his affiliation with the military. Thus, when asked by the judge, he answered: "Yes, I am".
It seems that Russia will drink a lot of grief for its rash decision to send prisoners to war. In the meantime, the Belarusian home front is getting very tense somewhere..." - Butusau wrote.
