A Russian missile strike on the center of Chernihiv has preliminarily killed 5 people and injured 37.

This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, on his Telegram, Censor.NET reports.

"It was a Saturday morning. People were leaving the church with baskets of blessed apples... As of 01:00 p.m., 42 people were injured in the Russian attack on the Drama Theatre in Chernihiv. Five people were killed. 37 people were injured, including 11 children. All are being provided with medical assistance," the statement said.

As reported, on the afternoon of 19 August, the enemy shelled the center of Chernihiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy showed the consequences of the enemy attack.
