Russian-made drone shot down in Luhansk region at border with Russian Federation, - State Border Guard Service
The Border Guard Service officers have shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle produced in Russia in the Luhansk region today.
Censor.NET reports citing the press center of the State Border Guard Service.
"The border guards spotted the UAV 1.5 km away from the border with Russia at the direction between the Russian village of Ushakovka and Ukraine's Herasymivka village. The border guards employed their weapons in order to stop gathering intelligence on locations of the Ukrainian soldiers carried out by the drone," the statement reads.
It is also noted that a careful examination of the downed aircraft revealed that it was made in Russia. It had visual surveillance and recording equipment installed. The hardware is currently being studied.
